The Peso is the local currency. Credit cards are widely accepted and ATMs are available in  the major tourist areas.

Many hotels have two different sockets with many having the UK 3 flat pin as well as a 2 round pin. We recommend taking with a universal plug adaptor as this could change. 

Visa requirements

30 days visa on arrival for EU, US and Australian passport holders. There is an exit tax of 500 pesos when leaving Manila so be sure to have this in cash when you leave.

There is a very good and growing domestic flight network that will allow you to reach all of the major tourist destinations with relative ease. 

Drinking Water

You should only drink sealed bottled water. Your hotel should provide you with this. When outside, ensure that the water you buy is sealed with a plastic cover to avoid contamination.
